If it hashes, heats up, or plugs into a grid — I've run it.

Bitcoin class of 2010, 10th-generation Texan. Fifteen years where energy markets meet large-scale compute — mining, AI datacenters, flexible load, and hardware down to the silicon. Deployed 3 GW across 21 countries. Now CRO at OBM, Senior Technical Advisor to the DOE's Office of Energy Dominance Financing, and GP of Alloyed Strategies.

Site design, cooling, firmware and fleet control — from first megawatt to first exahash.

Energy

Flexible load & grid strategy

Power procurement, curtailment economics and grid participation — turning big loads into assets that earn.

Aisles of liquid-cooled mining hardware at Rhodium's Texas site

Build

From 20MW in China to Texas at scale

A 20-megawatt mine in China felt gigantic in 2015. Since then: industrial sites across four continents, including Rhodium's liquid-cooled Texas builds — flexible loads that ride the grid instead of fighting it, the kind that helped ERCOT dodge a blackout in 2023.

Running a million machines as one

Eight granted U.S. patents on fleet-level control of mining hardware — telemetry, power and security, from the chip to the site. The full list is below.

Design

Down to the silicon

Hardware designer by background — five silicon designs as part of much bigger teams, and a design hand in many more hardware projects. Pictured: the SFARDS SF3301, a dual-algorithm chip that mined bitcoin and litecoin, circa 2015.

Mining before it was an industry

One of the first to systematize bitcoin mining — CPU rigs in 2010, then farms, pools and hardware sourcing across Asia. Still at it for the little guy through PlebSource, hardware for home miners.
